The Western States Mounted Officers Association (WSMOA) is committed to fostering strong collaboration among mounted law enforcement units throughout the western states. Our primary focus is to ensure uniform and comprehensive training for mounted officers, keeping our members well-informed on the latest methods, tactics, and legal considerations relevant to mounted law enforcement.

Our Mission

At WSMOA, our mission is to certify that Mounted Units, encompassing both sworn and non-sworn members, receive specialized training and pertinent information essential to their roles. We aim to enhance their proficiency, making them a valuable and respected resource within their respective commands. As a non-profit organization, WSMOA is dedicated to supporting law enforcement officers, search and rescue teams, volunteers, and posse members by providing valuable training and networking opportunities.
